Sorbent booms are an ideal absorbent product to use for marine oil spills as they absorb the oil floating on the water. In fact, our sorbent booms were used extensively in the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Sorbent booms come in two standard sizes, 5" sorbent booms and 8" sorbent booms, and can be linked together with the durable metal connector hardware to take on any size spill. Sellars uses only the highest quality materials to manufacture our booms. 100% polypropylene fill, finely woven polyester netting, Strong 1/4" polypropylene rope is clamped end to end with steel clamps and unlike some sorbent manufacturers...you will NEVER see plastic zip ties used on our booms.
