EMI Supply expands, opening Western warehouse in Colorado

EMI Supply adds branch to expand service out west

EMI Supply's new warehouse is not far from Pike's Peak.

MONROE, N.C., Feb. 15, 2019 – EMI Supply, Inc., is now quicker on the draw to serve its Western customers.
The company, a distributor of electrical and industrial supplies catering to the industrial market, opens a new warehouse in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Monday, Feb. 18. The addition is the company’s first expansion since its founding in 1990 in Monroe, N.C.

“We’re thrilled to add speed at a lower cost for our valued EMI customers,” said company president Susan C. Richardson. “Customers want to order exactly what they need with a quick turnaround, and this new warehouse puts us in even better position to be a trusted source.”

The company has long offered free ground shipping for orders $49 and above, but customers often will opt for faster turnaround times, such as with overnight air shipping, as projects require.

The warehouse expansion follows a period of rapid growth for the company, which has averaged 30 percent gain over the past five years as it has expanded its e-commerce presence.

“Our team has diligently provided the kind of service that keeps customers coming back,” Richardson said.
EMI Supply has been recognized the past two years by Charlotte Business Journal as one of the Fast 50 privately held companies in the region.

As with the Monroe location, orders can be picked up in person at the warehouse, located at 739 Seedling Court in Colorado Springs. Orders are placed through its website (https://emisupply.com) or via phone at 888-721-3641.
EMI Supply, Inc. is certified as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) and a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE).
