SoftTouch contour sanding sponges are coated with a high performance abrasives and
a waterproof bond so they can be used wet or dry. They can be used on a variety of
materials – metal, glass, composites, and plastic as well as on primer or painted
surfaces.
Automotive Refinishing Applications:
Norton SoftTouch sanding sponges are specially designed for for hard-to reach areas like door jambs, headlight openings and around door handles.
Industrial & Wood Working Applications:
Norton SoftTouch contour sponges are designed for hard to reach areas and corners on wood and metal furniture and detailed cabinets, composites and solid surfaces.
Available Grits and Suggested Uses:
Medium - scuff, shaping filler
Fine - feather-edge, scuffing primer, scuffing new parts before painting
Super Fine - preparing panel for base coat
Ultra Fine - sanding base coat, removing clear coat defects
Micro Fine - clear coat sanding, removing minor defects
