3M™ Maintenance Sorbents are designed to sorb non-aggressive liquids, making them ideal for plant maintenance. They are lightweight, versatile and take just minutes to put in place. Maintenance sorbents are dust free and contain no abrasive granules that can damage expensive equipment. 3M sorbents can also be incinerated or fuel blended, leaving less than 0.2% ash. They can be wrung out and reused numerous times with virtually no loss of sorbent capacity. These sorbents are offered in several configurations that allow you to get to the source of a leak before it becomes a larger problem. A gray color allows the sorbent to blend into plant appearance. As maintenance sorbents become saturated, they take on a darker gray color, making the user aware that they are ready to be changed while retaining a clean appearance. *Non-aggressive liquids are those used in daily operations which do not require the use of personal protective equipment and include: oils, coolants, cutting fluids, aqueous-based liquids and petroleum-based products.

This high capacity sorbent has a scrim on one side to increase strength and help eliminate linting. It is dispensed from a carrying/dispenser box in the form of a continuous roll with perforations every 16 inches.
Utilizing 3M's folded sorbent technology, it can be used as a pillow, pad, roll or boom. Applications range from maintenance to spill response.
