Product Details
A Micro-Fiber is one single fiber with a thickness less than a human hair that has been split 16 times into a “V” shape and woven into a soft reusable cleaning cloth. The surface area of the cloth is increased over 15 times, creating millions of crevices, which trap dirt and water, making this product one of the most absorbent materials on earth. Polyester and Polyamide make up this product, which makes the product basically plastic. However, there is no possibility of scratching because, once the fibers have been split 16 times, their density is reduced and they become soft and will not scratch.
Most Micro-Fibers are an 80/20 mix: 80% scrubbing, 20% absorbing and able to absorb seven times their weight in water. Carborundum Micro-Fiber cloths are formulated in a 70/30 ratio, making them softer and able to absorb eight times their weight in water. The “V” shapes literally collect debris in the crevices as opposed to pushing debris away, like a conventional cloth.
