Carborundum EZ Touch Contour Sanding Sponges

EZ Touch contour sanding sponges are coated with high performance abrasives and a waterproof bond so they can be used wet or dry. They can be used on a variety of materials – metal, glass, composites, and plastic as well as on primer or painted surfaces. The finishing action of sponges generates a finer finish than conventional coated abrasive products.

Automotive Refinishing Applications:

Carborundum EZ Touch sanding sponges are specially designed for for hard-to reach areas like door jambs, headlight openings and around door handles.

Industrial & Wood Working Applications:

Carborundum EZ Touch contour sponges are designed for hard to reach areas and corners on wood and metal furniture and detailed cabinets, composites and solid surfaces.

The finishing action of sponges generates a finer finish than conventional coated abrasive products.

Available Grits and Suggested Uses:

  • Medium - scuff, shaping filler - Generates a finish equal to P180/P120 grit
  • Fine - feather-edge, scuffing primer, scuffing new parts before painting - Generates a finish equal to P400/P320 grit
  • Super Fine - preparing panel for base coat - Generates a finish equal to P600/P500 grit
  • Ultra Fine - sanding base coat, removing clear coat defects - Generates a finish equal to P1000/P800 grit
  • Micro Fine - clear coat sanding, removing minor defects - Generates a finish equal to P1500/P1200 grit
