Bahco Straight Back Bi-Metal Reciprocating Saw Blades

Bahco bi-metal blades are the perfect combination of strength and flexibility. Blades feature powerful teeth of hardened, high-speed steel which are electron beamwelded onto a spring steel backing. Blade configurations include universal toothing for straight and rapid cutting of wood, metal, plastic, and wood with nails, blades for contour sawing, and blades with variable tooth spacing.

Features:

  • Hardened high speed steel teeth provide aggressive bite into toughest materials.
  • Teeth are electron welded to backing for durability and dependability.
  • Spring steel backing provides flexibility and resilience to prevent shattering.

Choosing the Right Reciprocating Saw Blade

How to select the perfect blade for the job from a comprehensive line of professional grade reciprocating saw blades.

Step 1: Determine the right toothing.

Bahco reciprocating saw blades feature aggressive, precision-ground teeth. In addition, many bi-metal blades feature variable teeth spacing. It all adds up to unbeatable sawing performance and versatility. Material type and thickness determine which toothing pattern and TPI will work best.

Step 2: Choose the right blade.

Recommended saw blade types for different materials and applications.

  • Bi-Metal Blade 3840 ST - For straight and quick cutting of metal, plastic, laminates and wood with nails.
  • Bi-Metal Blade 3840 SL - For all-round cutting of metal, plastic, laminates and wood with nails.
  • Bi-Metal Blade 3840 DSL - Extra heavy-duty bi-metal blade with coarse teeth for building and demolition work. Blade thickness is increased 0.62" (1.6 mm) for greater strength — making this blade ideal for cutting any building material — even heavy wood with large-dimension nails.
  • Bi-Metal Blade 3840 SC - For contour sawing of metal, plastic, laminates and wood with nails.
  • Bi-Metal Blade 3840 UST - Extra heavy duty coarse-toothed bi-metal blade with coarse teeth for cutting metal tubing and other demanding metal work. For machines with blade fastenings, such as REHMS®, FLEX®, etc.
  • Wood Cutting Blade 3842 - Blade with special teeth for all-round wood cutting.
  • Carbide Tipped Blade 3846 - Blade with carbide tipped teeth for cutting bricks, porous concrete, fiberglass, plastic laminates, cement board, plywood, cast aluminum, rubber and hardwoods.
  • Carbide Grit Blade 3846 - Blade with carbide grit cutting edge, designed for precision cutting of extremely hard materials: glass, glazed tiles, ceramics, fiberglass, cast iron, clay pipe, stone, bricks, plaster and marble.
